I love the image with the phrase by Andy Hargreaves. I have not read the book “The Fourth Way: The Inspiring Future for Educational Change” but I did skim through it on Amazon. It seemed interesting and helpful, especially for me who is studying to become a K-6 teacher.
The quotes are all great! I have to agree with Andy that it is the quality of teaching that plays a major role in student achievement. Many people misunderstand what “quality” teaching really is. A teacher has to teach effectively, support their students, be a guide and role model and etc. There has to be a structure. Without structure, everything is hectic and unorganized! A teacher has to be committed and understand that students will need your help!
These are all great quotes, advices and questions teachers should ask themselves. Like I said earlier, I am studying to become a teacher. What is the best advice you would give to a teacher? 🙂

Thank you for your comment. If I could give just one piece of advice to new teachers it would be to demonstrate fearless learning and model what it means to be a lifelong learner to their students. That means being daring enough that you must fail sometimes and then be humble about it, and show students how to be reflective so that the failure itself becomes a spark for new learning and new approaches to teaching and learning.
I was at a school for a couple years and I brought in the slogan ‘Care, Share, Dare!‘ …and now I realize that the same slogan aptly fits educators as much as teachers.

I learn something new everyday! As most of us say, mistakes are our best teachers. The slogan and the post on it is helpful and wonderful.
